Russ Rieger

A graduate of The University of Kansas, Russ holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Organ Performance and Church Music. He is currently the Director of Music Ministries at Oak Lawn United Methodist Church in Dallas where he serves as director of the Chancel Choir, and "The Ju-Bell-ation Ringers!" In addition, he serves as Senior Staff Organist. He is deeply involved in many of the wide-ranging ministries of the church. Russ is in great demand around North Texas as an accompanist, including serving as accompanist for Evening Song, a 30-voice community Chorale based in Dallas. Russ is the former Principal Accompanist for The Turtle Creek Chorale and its sub-groups, ENCORE! and Chamber Chorus.

 

In June 2009, Russ accompanied the gala Celebration of the 70th Anniversary of Shawnee Press at Carnegie Hall. The concert included 600 singers, full orchestra, and the works of Mark Hayes, Joseph Martin, and Greg Gilpin. Russ again performed at Carnegie Hall in June 2010 as he accompanied the 10th Anniversary performance of "Sing For the Cure."

Accompanist

Antoine Spencer

Mr. Spencer is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. Mr. Spencer has served in public school education. He holds a master’s degree in public school administration. Mr. Spencer was the principal accompanist for the Turtle Creek Chorale for 17 years and accompanied the Texas Girls Choir. He was the minister of music at Holy Way Baptist Church in Fort Worth and was the pianist for White Rock Community Church.

Robert Huneke - Operations Manager

After graduating from Bowie High School in Arlington Texas Robert spent two years in the United States Air Force before returning to the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. During the five years following Robert worked for Al’s Formal Wear where he was introduced to Dr. Seelig and the Turtle Creek Chorale. Robert joined the Chorale in the fall of 2001 and in early 2002 performed Sing For The Cure with the Chorale at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Robert spent five and a half years with the Turtle Creek Chorale in various positions including working on the Internet committee, serving as member-at-large as well as holding the position of Secretary and serving on the Board of Directors. Robert ended his time with the Chorale as Dr. Seelig’s assistant during his final year. Robert followed Dr. Seelig to Hope for Peace and Justice where he and Dr. Seelig planned, organized and together produced the first Voices of Peace concert with Dr. Maya Angelou as the keynote speaker and first recipient of the Hope for Peace and Justice Voice of Peace Award. Robert is now the full-time Operations Manager for Resounding Harmony. Robert also does consulting work with other organizations including the Cathedral of Hope and GALA Choruses Inc.
